CHILDREN LANDSCAPE II
salzburg 2011
this project started in a grammarschool with a class of 8 year old kids. the task was to create a mutual art piece, first on a piece of paper, and later on a gallery wall. as in the first CHILDREN LANDSCAPE project the kids paintings were combined with a series of urban landscapes, with were hung up in front of the murals.


MONUMENT
Skopje 2011
the series of photos was taken in the center of skopje, the capital of
macedonia. we see a young nation seeking its identity in a show of
strength, both financial and architectual. gender your identity skopje!

YUGOSTALGIA II
2010
the new paintings, again portraits of josip broz TITO, reflect the contrast between the young idealistic partisan and the statesman, who grew rather large on responsibility, power and wealth. his person was a desired projection of prosperity and luxury.

CHILDREN LANDSCAPE

groups of children paint their colour- and joyful creations on the walls of the exhibition space. after that city-landscapes are placed above the powerful gestures of the youth, symbolizing the techno-reality we put the next generation into and how they resist.

KOPER LANDSCAPE

techno-landscape: we are looking upon a ironic contrast of an mideaval adriatic city, build for horse-carts and pedestrians, nowadays filled with the prime-object of our oil-hooked society, the automobile.

LJUBLJANA LANDSCAPE

working with a classical genre landscape, the object of postmodern desire stood model in the rural area of ljubljana, slovenia. this symbol for individual freedom creates a infinite hunger for more parking lots in limited cities.

METELKOVA LIBRARY
2008
in the autonomous cultural center in the heart of ljubljana/slovenia we installed letters and logos formerly used as commercial signs. now they are blown out of the alternative, leftist literature into the sky, drawing attention to the public librarybus.

YUGOSTALGIA
ongoing since 2007
a series of portraits of the former yugoslav president josip broz TITO reflects upon the utopia of a socialist garden of eden. the neoliberal economy creates the need for sweet memories and illusions in former yugoslav countries.

NATURA MORTE

the natural disaster of post modern family stood model for this series of still lifes. lost between romantic dreams and shattered reality a future generation of humans is growing up.

RUBENS REMIX
2004/2005
a series of sketches from original master paintings in the old pinakothek/munich are the starting point for an ironic reaction upon content and context of these classics. postmodern gender awareness lead to typographic interventions in oil on canvas.

ART IN PUBLIC SPACE
2000-2004
dominated by cooperate identities the rural space lost its public communication function, its sad leftover is neurotic and exhibitionistic at the same time. the concept was to create small cracks of irony by shifting context, small details and appearance of logos.
